PROGRAMMES + PROJECTS

We believe in the transformative power of the arts to inspire social change.

Our vision is to create a world where marginalised communities are empowered to share their stories, challenge perceptions, and participate fully in shaping a more equitable society.

By centering lived experiences, we aim to cultivate a culture of collaboration, creativity, and social justice.

THE UNWRITTEN TALES OF THE TOUNGE

‘CREATING SPACE FOR COMMUNITY BUILDING.’

girls youth project

Our Girls Group offers a confidential and supportive environment for young girls, providing a safe space to navigate the challenges they encounter daily.

NOMAD provides a secure setting where connections are nurtured, aiming to empower these girls to comprehend and embrace their  identities. The group convenes weekly, engaging in face-to-face sessions, and frequently hosts inspirational speakers and activists.

‘YOUR VOICE HAS POWER'

CALL ME BY MY NAME

Our youth-led research project that examines the local impact of knife crime. As part of this initiative, Nomad also produced a documentary titled Call Me By My Name. The film explores deeper-rooted issues affecting young people, such as the impact of war and trauma.

This research project was sparked after Nomad held an emergency meeting in response to eight stabbings in one week, one of which involved a 13-year-old boy whose parents had fled the war in Iraq.

The meeting, led by 40 young people from Nomad, brought together the police, schools, and Harrow Council to hold them accountable and advocate for increased youth provision and access to free spaces.
