NOMAD’S ARC Re-opening
Saturday 29th August 2020 at 1 – 6pm
NOMAD launched a new artistic hub in Harrow on the 26th of February 2020 bringing together such inspiring and uplifting young people and community leaders. NOMAD’S ARC will be the first youth led artistic hub locally. It will also be a first for Harrow acting as a centre for arts and culture, led by the community and driven by a social agenda. It is a tool and a space which will provide training and development which equips young people with the right tools to take the initiative and make positive change both within their own community and the wider world.
As restrictions are relaxed, Nomads Arc will be a versatile space running activities, working with the community and local businesses to bring people together with social distancing measures in place. What has been highlighted the most is the numbers of people suffering from mental health due to poverty, isolation and bereavement during this crisis. We are closely working with the community to understand the issues and how best we could support now and after. We understand the importance of activities such as trips, creative arts and also safe spaces to talk about mental wellbeing.
Come and be part of an uplifting and inspiring day with the theme of carnival celebrating 4 years of NOMAD as a charity. Come and meet our amazing local artists who will be performing and also exhibiting their art work. There will also be interactive workshops which will involve the audience having fun and spreading laughter. We also want to use our platform to celebrate all the local community who have stepped up during these difficult few months.
Please be aware we will have social distancing in place following the government guidelines, with love and respect we hope we all can abide by this as we want Nomads Arc to be a place of love, unity and hope.
